The Stalker’s Cat mug is snug in Elspeth‘s cupboard.

I love getting photos of this stuff!

The Diver’s Mug

See all mugs.

10cm (4 in) tall, 8.5cm (3 3/8 in) diameter.

I bought it from a charity shop and improved it. It’s a bit like the way I draw on photographs, except I drew on a mug instead.

9cm (3.5in) tall, 8cm (just over 3in) diameter.

I bought it from a charity shop and improved it (or, tried to). It’s a bit like the way I draw on photographs, except I drew on a mug instead.

More fruit salad handwarmers

Source Website: Poly in Pictures

I made some more, and they are basically identical to the last ones but about 1.5cm longer at the wrist-end, so I am going to copy and paste the info from the other page, thusly.

Fruit Salad handwarmers available

Source Website: Poly in Pictures

These handwarmers are 75% wool, 25% nylon for strength. They’re machine-washable. For yarny types, I used dkKnits technicolor dream toes hand-dyed sock yarn. The colours are a little warmer than the photo because I don’t know how to use a camera; they remind me a bit of the Fruit Salad chewy sweets of my yoof, hence the post name, but these are a lot more greener than the sweets were. I’m not cut out for this description/naming thing.

No more Facebook for Poly in Pictures

Source Website: Poly in Pictures

This article / blog post was discovered through our Commons project.

Yesterday Women, Action and the Media launched a campaign to prompt action from Facebook.

The gist of it is, they take down photos of women who’ve had double mastectomies and thus survived cancer, and they take down photos of women breastfeeding, both not-sexual in nature. But they allow groups that promote or joke about domestic violence and rape.

Nonbinary Stats

Source Website: Poly in Pictures

This article / blog post was discovered through our Commons project.

Nonbinary/genderqueer folk, do you feel like anonymously contributing to some stats about gender identity and expression?

I’m running a bit of an informal data-gathering thing to see how people express their nonbinary gender. I’ll publish the statistical results on my MxActivist blog in July 2013 in the form of graphs and charts.

Are you genderqueer/nonbinary and in the UK?

Source Website: Poly in Pictures

Do you use the gender-inclusive title Mx? Have you ever been told by some organisation or some individual or other that Mx is not a “proper” title?

Look no further, for you have found a PDF containing evidence of Mx being used by many many record-holding bodies, and even deed poll services and banks and such.

Pretty odd: a second attempt

Source Website: Poly in Pictures

This article / blog post was discovered through our Commons project.

It’s been almost a month and I haven’t heard from Esmé, so these are once more available.

They are 75% wool, 25% nylon. They are not machine washable. They fit big and small hands. They took 7.5 hours to make. I think the yarn cost about £4 GBP. They are matching in shape and size and yarn type/brand, but one of them is purply and one is green-ish. They were made in a pet-free, smoke-free home.

“Forget Yourself” by Redfern Jon Barrett

Source Website: Poly in Pictures

This article / blog post was discovered through our Commons project.

Some time ago, in the middle of a ridiculous haze caused by autistic/domestic anxiety and depression, Red found me on Facebook through the Poly in Pictures page and sent me a message asking if I’d like to read his book. He spoke of queer and polyamorous themes, and I knew he meant it. I’m not that widely read so this is probably not a reliable generalisation, but most books I’ve read that make claims like this are… how can I explain this? I find that they exaggerate.
